This is a late 90’s Shui Xian that we bought around 3 years ago. This tea was produced for the Hong Kong market. It was given a heavier roast than is common for modern teas coming from Wuyi mountains, then stored, sealed in Hong Kong for the past 20 or so years. This time of resting has allowed the roast to subside and smooth aged ripe fruit flavours to emerge. Yancha of this age and quality are more and more difficult to find in the market these days - there’s certainly not a lot available online.
