Busy Busy

We’ve been particularly busy as of late. The teahouse is progressing steadily, and it seems like there might be enough support from the local community to make it work. We’ve also been working on improving our ranges of teas and teaware online. All of Master Huang’s handmade yancha this year is exceptional. We’ve been tasting samples and have some of them on the way. Hopefully they should be available online soon, including some lesser known varietals.

We’ve also received the teapots we ordered back in March from Chen Ju Fang and the studio she runs with her husband. Unfortunately they didn’t make all the sizes and shapes we’d hoped for, but we’re glad to have some pots back in stock again. They’re available on our Yixing teapots page.

We’ve been also working with a local design agency on a new logo for The Essence of Tea. Below is a sneak preview…

Finally… the winner for our Mannuo puerh draw (15th Oct-31st Oct) is Leopold for his review of our 1980’s Liu Bao.
