Tariffs and US Shipping
Following the implementation of US tariffs on parcels from China, Chinapost have stopped accepting parcels destined for the US. We're not sure how long this will last, but we'll need to put a pause on regular US shipments. Apparently those that have cleared Chinese export customs already will still be sent, but those parcels still in China will be returned to us.
Orders
If you have placed an order with us already that hasn't cleared export customs, please know that we have your back with regards to refunds, but if it's not super urgent for you we'll try to find a solution to get your parcels to you. We'll wait a week or so to see if we have any further clarity on shipping to the US from China. If there's no update, we'll ship your order from the UK to you.
For newly placed orders going forward, we have 2 options.
- Your parcel can be shipped directly from China. According to the shipping agent, this will take around 15 days and there's a flat rate of $100 per parcel for this including tariffs.
- Your parcel can be shipped from the UK. We're offering this at a flat rate of $30 for orders under $150, or $20 for orders over $150. This shipping option may take 4-6 weeks approx to arrive with you.
Teaclub Parcels
For teaclub members, we have a solution that we can offer, but will need to move to quarterly shipping instead of monthly. This combined shipping is an option that we've been offering for a long time for our EU customers who face import duties. With this option, the subscription payments continue on a monthly basis, but we consolidate 3 months shipments into one parcel and ship every 3 months.
So...
- Jan, Feb, Mar parcels are sent at the beginning of March.
- April, May, June are sent at the beginning of June.
- July, Aug, Sept parcels at the beginning of Sept.
- Oct, Nov, Dec parcels at the beginning of December.
For current teaclub members who have May parcels outstanding, your next shipment will be at the beginning of June - containing May and June offerings.
These parcels will ship to you from the UK.
