We haven't had any loose aged puerhs for the past few years & have been looking around to find some nice examples. Most pre-2000's loose leaf puerh has spent some time in HK. This was exported to Taiwan and spent some time there.
The leaves are large and strong. In the initial rinse and first couple of infusions there are signs of its HK-stored heritage, but the flavours are clean and the tea liquid still retains a vibrancy, slight edge of underlying bitterness and long steady aftertaste.
For fans of this type of dark, mellow and soothing aged puerh, this is a great choice.
