Yiwu's Leng Shui He river has two main tea gardens deep in the forest, managed by villagers from Guafengzhai and Lan Tian villages respectively. Last year we produced some tea from selected ancient trees from the Guafengzhai garden and we thought this year it might be nice to offer a comparison with the Lan Tian tea garden.
Both of these are excellent teas, from selected ancient trees within the gardens and each in pristine environments deep in the forest.
This garden managed by Lan Tian villagers is sunnier than the shady Guafengzhai garden and the tea is more forward in nature, perhaps less elegant and refined but concentrated and thick, low-moderate astringency and mineral character. This is a very nice tea and a great comparison for the differences in these deep forest tea gardens
