This was an unexpected find this Spring. It was produced from a single garden of ancient trees belonging to the mother in law of the owner of Xiangming Gudianman tea factory. She left this batch of tea to her granddaughter, hence the name.
This is a lovely tea - thick, rich and powerful with a long, steady aftertaste. It has aged nicely, with concentrated toffee sweetness and just the right amount of bitterness. It leaves the mouth watering for a long time after drinking and can be brewed for many infusions.
Nicely aged tea of this period from a single ancient tree garden is something of a rarity since most teas were blended with bigger batches at this time. This has plenty of room to continue to age.
These bricks are each wrapped plain paper and orders for pairs come wrapped in a bamboo tong.
