This pure silver kettle (0.990) was made for us by a small studio in Guizhou, Yunnan. We've been looking around for quite a while for Yunnan studios whose workmanship could reach our standards. There are many silver teapots and kettles coming out of studios in Yunnan - most are cast in bulk or aren't very refined in their workmanship.
This kettle was hand hammered and carved by hand with the text of the Heart Sutra. The control of the pour is perfect and the kettle is very balanced in the hand. The workmanship of this kettles is really excellent & a treasure to be used and enjoyed for generations to come.
