This puerh tea comes from the protected state forest in Gedeng and is from tall pole trees which shoot up to reach the light in the forest. The first couple of infusions seem light, but quickly there is a strength and richness that emerges in the tea. This is a powerful tea that displays all the characters of a perfect, biodiverse environment and healthy strong trees.
As of Spring 2026, this tea has mellowed nicely, lost the greenness of youth and developing nice rich fruit flavours with steady aftertaste.
