We began processing this batch of original ore from Yixing's Huanglongshan last year and are happy to be able to begin making pots from it. Processing the clay from the original ore allows us to ensure that there are no additives and it's as pure as possible.
Zhuni was mined in three main areas - Zhaozhuang, Xiao Mei Yao, and Huanglongshan. Although all three are called Zhuni, they all have different characteristics. This one is from Huanglongshan.
These pots are very nicely made. The thin walls and this high fired clay are perfect for those teas that will benefit from allowing the top notes to shine. It's a matter of preference, but we'd recommend this for young sheng puerh, oolongs, even cleanly stored aged teas where you don't want the flavour to be muted.
