We've been trying to buy this tea for many years. Previously it wasn't available for sale & we're happy finally to be able to offer it. It was a production by Lin Pin Xiang - a tea teacher based in Malaysia. He booked this batch from a small factory in Yunnan in 2004 and has been storing it personally in Malaysia ever since. It was pressed as naked cakes with no neifei and given the name Xiang Yun Hao - Xiang referring to his surname, Yun referring to Yunnan and Hao as branding common in puerh cakes.
These cakes have been nicely aged in Malaysia until now. The storage is clean, with a nice oily surface to the leaves. The material is good quality, with good thickness, nice woody taste and camphor aroma. It carries a nice minty sensation into the aftertaste and lingers pleasantly in mouth and throat.
