One of our early pressings, we were happy to revisit this recently and find out that it has been progressing nicely.
We collected the maocha from this from Mahei in Spring 2009, hitching a lift there and back on a tractor and motorbikes.
The tea has changed nicely over the years. If we're to be super critical, it's not perhaps of the quality that we'd make these days, but it's still a very nice tea. We would buy it again if we came across these cakes in the market today.
We stored this in the UK for a few years, then in our Malaysia warehouse since 2014. It is concentrated, with good body and a mouth watering finish which lingers nicely in the mouth. A good example of Mahei tea from this period.
