We commissioned four of these from master potter Ma Yong Qiang in the style of an antique pot we liked.
Making these symmetrical pots nicely takes a lot of skill, both in crafting and firing. The lid should be able to fit perfectly in any position and the pot should remain balanced and comfortable to use.
The clay comes from a batch of Zini clay he has stored for many years. It was originally mined from Yixing's Huanglongshan mining area. Attached is an EDXRF test report showing no additives.
