We revisited this tea recently, for the first time in years. It has changed a lot. This is a high quality, pure ,ancient tree tea from Guafengzhai's Chawangshu tea garden.
The leaves are strong and thick. They have aged nicely in our Malaysian warehouse, losing their greenness of youth and beginning to develop nice aged character.
This was a pure small quantity pressing and the flavours are accordingly refined. It begins in a subtle manner, gradually swelling in the mouth and through throughout the infusions. This is smooth, rich and elegant, with still enough strength to continue to transform nicely.
