Quanjihao is a small family processing studio based in Xiangming. They specialise in Manzhuan and 6 Famous Tea Mountains teas, with the family patriarch being the 13th generation of family tea makers and his grown children following in his footsteps.
This is a pure ancient tree production that the father made in 2014. It's super clean, concentrated and rich. The storage has been great - no off flavours and has transformed nicely, losing much of the greenness of youth and beginning to develop ripe fruit flavours.
It has good thickness, and very nice semi-aged flavour. There is a slight bit of astringency that emerges as the steeps progress, but this transforms into a long, steady aftertaste with stable mouthwatering character that is the lasting impression. It leaves the drinker feeling comfortable and satisfied.
This is a bargain for this quality of Manzhuan tea and this semi-aged tea costs less than we'd be able to buy it for today.
