We offered this tea back in 2021 as a teaclub parcel & decided to offer our remaining stock of it for sale.
This tea was harvested from a tea garden owned by a friend of ours in Yiwu. The trees were planted in the late 70’s on his family land in Yiwu's ManXiu area. Quite a few of the trees in this garden naturally turned out to have have buds and leaves that grow with a purple hue. He harvested these purple growing plants separately from the other trees in the garden for us and we pressed this into these discs.
The tea is smooth, with medium thickness & nice vibrant character. While not super old trees, they were grown without chemicals, processed by hand and these purple tinged leaves have their own unique character which make for a lovely daily drinker.
