We mostly focus on single origin teas, but sometimes you come across two teas that beg to be put together. They compliment each other perfectly and make a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts.
It's a pure gushu cake with strong, thick backbone, lovely florals in the upper palette. Nice energy of the kind from very old trees that creeps up on you, then pulses comfortably through your body. The southern Bulang ancient trees give a strong energy & bitter base while the Mengku ancient trees add a lovely top note to the mix. These blend perfectly so that they become a coherent whole and work together really nicely.
It begins with low astringency and bitterness that increase a bit throughout the session. It's concentrated in character, with strong energy and long steady aftertaste. A very nice tea at a price that punches well above its weight.
