After Chawangshu, Chaping is probably the next most famous garden in Guafengzhai. The ancient trees there are owned mainly by 6 families & the area is renowned for it's smooth, refined tea.
We collected fresh leaves from there this spring and brought them to the village to be processed.
To begin, the tea presents as super smooth, so refined a beginner could almost miss it. It opens up throughout the infusions with low astringency, smooth refined profile with quick huigan and inducing saliva in the mouth. It lingers very nicely in the back of the mouth and throat and has a smooth, deep qi.
