We occasionally come across interesting pieces in the antique markets. The base of this was originally produced as an incense censer, from Yunnan's Huaning Kiln in around the late Qing/early ROC period. We thought it would make a nice tea tray & asked a Yunnan silversmith to hand-hammer a lid using 99% pure tin and finish them with a brass rim and centre decoration for the water hole.
This is a one of a kind - a new creation to add something special to a tea table.
