This is Rui Quan tea factory's most premium RouGui. Growing from the most sought after San Keng Liang Jian (Three pits and two streams) area of the Wuyi Scenic Reserve, this was hand picked, processed and charcoal roasted. We stored this in our Malaysia warehouse until then to allow the flavours of the roast to settle and integrate with the tea.
In this time, the tea has changed a lot. The edges of the roast have gone and aged flavours have begun to emerge. It's super smooth, with good concentration and steady throughout the infusions. It's a bit expensive, as many of the better teas, especially Rougui from this core region are. We decided to sell this at the 2016 price to make it a bit more accessible for tea lovers but I guess a new one would cost a lot more these days from the factory.
