We occasionally come across interesting pieces in the antique markets. The base of this was from Jingdezhen Kiln in around the late Qing Dynasty. We thought it would make a nice tea tray & asked a Yunnan coppersmith to hand-hammer a lid using copper, adding a centre decoration for the water hole.
This is a one of a kind - a new creation to add something special to a tea table.
